Bharti Learning Systems undertakes Youth Sensitisation Project on
HIV / AIDS
In today’s dynamic environment, 35% of all reported AIDS cases in India are occurring in the age group of 15-29. It has become mandatory to engage and educate youth on HIV/AIDS to safeguard their future.
Bharti Learning Systems is undertaking a youth sensitisation project in Maharashtra on HIV / AIDS. It believes that youth can be equipped with knowledge and skills to play an important role in response to HIV/AIDS. Going forward they would be instrumental in mobilizing public opinion and gaining support for various initiatives in the areas of preventing HIV/AIDS.
The objective of the project is to :
Safeguard the future of our youth
Create awareness on HIV/AIDS and its various dimensions
Create an enabling environment towards facilitating the behavioral change
Bharti Learning Systems created an implementation model for about 1800 students and professionals in urban and rural areas of Mumbai, Thane, Solapur, Sangli, Aurangabad, Nagpur and Satara. The intervention focuses on :
