Bharti Foundation has set up primary-level schools, called the Satya Bharti Schools, that cater to the poor and underprivileged children across the states of Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. The schools aim at providing children with pre-primary and primary education and contributing significantly in achieving India’s goal of universalisation of primary education. These schools specifically aim at addressing the needs of poor, out-of-school and migrant children, especially girls, who are most deprived of education in India. The schools are designed to provide education that is practical, complete and empowers a child to explore, develop logic and to connect with the local and national environment. The curriculum in these schools aim to provide each child with experiential learning rather than memory-based learning, incorporating best teaching methodologies with added emphasis on computer based education.

Towards this end, Bharti Learning Systems has set up a dedicated team of specialists, who look into the following areas related to primary education

Capacity Building of Teachers: Imparting a holistic training programme to facilitate classroom and ‘on-the-job’ teaching and mentoring of teachers by mobile trainers

Content Creation and Curriculum Customisation: Creating a 360 degree training programme for the teachers and other school staff and customisation of the school curriculum, mapped to the respective State Board curricula.

Performance Management: Facilitating creation of standard operating procedures of schools by developing key partnerships, setting internal processes to impact solution deployment, working with identified subject matter expertise to enrich curriculum and delivery models. The end objective is to enhance the quality of education being imparted in Satya Bharti Schools.

Bharti Learning Systems has developed appropriate learning solutions to enhance skills and attitude of the faculty including teachers, head mistress and support staff to contribute effectively to this project. This would facilitate students to access quality education and mainstream them into the schools managed by the State Board. Bharti Learning Systems is training over 500 teachers by way of classroom training, coaching and playing a key role in building professional skills, managerial skills and personal effectiveness of the faculty.
