Bharti Foundation has set up primary-level schools, called the Satya Bharti Schools, that cater to the poor and underprivileged children across the states of Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. The schools aim at providing children with pre-primary and primary education and contributing significantly in achieving India’s goal of universalisation of primary education. These schools specifically aim at addressing the needs of poor, out-of-school and migrant children, especially girls, who are most deprived of education in India. The schools are designed to provide education that is practical, complete and empowers a child to explore, develop logic and to connect with the local and national environment. The curriculum in these schools aim to provide each child with experiential learning rather than memory-based learning, incorporating best teaching methodologies with added emphasis on computer based education. |
